Russians Slaughtered Poland’s Army Officers Anything else new?

One of the great mysteries of World War II was what happened in the Katyn Forest in early 1940 in the Soviet Union. I have maintained for years, that Adolph Hitler had nothing on the Russians when it came to brutality or displaying man’s inhumanity to man. For most of my life, it was believed that Hitler and the Germans unashamedly murdered more than 20,000 Polish Officers,  lawyers, doctors and others of what was referred to as Poland’s intelligentsia.

With the destruction of the Soviet Union and the opening of certain Secret Police archives, it became public knowledge that the Communists in Russia were completely responsible for this hideous crime in 1990. The Soviet orchestrated massacre became public news once again recently when basically the entire upper echelons of the Polish government were killed in an airplane accident while traveling to Smolensk, Russia to commemorate the atrocity. A terrible situation compounded itself.
